Media influence is a powerful economic and cultural force. However, women remain underrepresented both in front and behind the scenes. Media has the power to educate, affect social change, and determine the outcome of decisions that impact our lives. With YW She Shines, women have an equal voice and equal participation in our society.
In 2005, YWCA Rhode Island created YW She Shines Magazine to celebrate the aspirations and accomplishments of women. YW She Shines Radio, a program that will bring our award winning print publication to the airwaves.
